Information You Submit
A name or location entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. Pope County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s terms and privacy rules control its handling of the query.
If you send an email or contact message, the message and contact details are kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. They are not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is legally required.
Automatic Technical Information
Normal web systems may record technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device type and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- referring page, when available; and
- request dates and timestamps.
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or remove cookies, although some site or partner functions may then behave differently.
How Information Is Used
Collected information supports routine site operations:
- delivering pages and keeping them responsive;
- passing search requests to the selected partner;
- understanding which release-record pages are useful;
- detecting errors, abuse, and security problems; and
- displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Other Websites and Advertising
Links may lead to Pope or Douglas County offices, Minnesota DOC, court and federal systems, public records, or third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Advertising partners may also collect activity across sites for interest-based ads through their own systems.
Limited Data Sharing
Personal information is not sold. It may be received by service providers that need it to perform their function, including search partners processing a query, analytics services measuring traffic, and advertising networks serving ads. Information may also be disclosed to law enforcement or another government body when a valid legal order requires it.
Security Practices
Reasonable technical and administrative safeguards are used. No internet-connected service, email route, or storage system can be guaranteed free from intrusion, failure, or unauthorized access. This notice does not promise breach-proof security.
People Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and the ability to verify a request, a person may ask for a copy of personal data held by the site, request correction, seek deletion, or object to certain processing. Browser settings can control cookies, while outside search and advertising providers must handle choices about data kept on their systems.
Changes to This Notice
This privacy notice may be revised as services or legal duties change. An updated version takes effect when posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after posting means the revised notice applies.
