Nature of the Website

This is a private reference that points visitors to Pope and Douglas County custody records, Minnesota correctional sources, court systems, and outside research tools. It is not a government office, private investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. The site stores no official jail or court records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file documents.

Acceptable Use Rules

Visitors agree to use the site lawfully and responsibly. In particular, users must not:

• break any law or violate another person’s rights;
• stalk, threaten, intimidate, or harass anyone;
• use information for hiring, housing, credit, insurance, or another regulated eligibility decision;
• attempt unauthorized access to any site, account, or system;
• operate bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools; or
• interfere with service for other visitors.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

Pope County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither it nor its advertising partners supplies screening services. Users agree not to rely on site information for employment decisions, tenant or housing screening, creditworthiness, insurance pricing, licenses, permits, government-program eligibility, or any other purpose governed by the FCRA.

Links to Outside Services

Links may lead to sheriff and corrections sites, release records, government portals, legal resources, and independent search providers. A link does not endorse the destination. Pope County Released Inmates does not control an outside service’s content, privacy practices, prices, results, security, or availability. Review that service’s own terms before using it.

No Warranties

The website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that facts are complete, accurate, current, uninterrupted, free of errors or security flaws, or that partner searches will return every possible record. Custody and public-record information can change at any time. Nothing here is an official statement from a sheriff, court, jail, or corrections agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Pope County Released Inmates and its owners, contributors, and service providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the site or any linked service.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site and its owners, contributors, and providers from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use of the site, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

Intellectual Property

Original text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Pope County Released Inmates or the relevant content partner. They may not be copied, republished, distributed, or modified without written permission, except where law permits limited use.

Terms May Change

These terms can be updated at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted. Continued use after posting signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

Access May End

Access may be restricted, suspended, or terminated at any time and for any lawful reason, with or without prior notice. This right does not limit any other available remedy.

Minnesota Governing Law

Minnesota law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute must be filed in a court with proper jurisdiction in Minnesota.

Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay effective. The affected provision will be narrowed only as much as needed to make it lawful and enforceable.
